Happy 3rd Birthday Jade November 14 2009

Thank you for all my nice gifts.

Jade Baking Birthday Cupcakes

Jade is helping to make her birthday cupcakes.

Jade and Romeo

Preschool, Tumble Bears, and The Park

Fall has set in and we are keeping busy.

Halloween Time

Jeremy helping Jade with her pumpkin. She loved Trick-or-Treating. She would knock on the door and yell" Trick-or-Treat" and then she would run back to the saftey of mom. She was caught doing this, and they called her Chicken Little. This photo of her dressed has got to be my favorite!

Allissa's Senior College Year for Cheer

Another season of football and watching my daughter cheer. I have looked forward to watching her each and every season since she was in 6th grade. This season of football however was very emotional for me (and her) knowing it was her last season to cheer for football. We are very proud of all her accomplishments!

Football and Food

They go hand in hand at a football game for Jade.

Sleeping Bear Dunes

A weekend adventure to Sleeping Bear Dunes. It is beautiful there.

1 Year Gotcha August 17, 2009

We took Jade to Big Boys for her two favorite foods. Ice Cream and Onion Rings.
Its hard to believe it has been 1 year since she has joined our family. She has made great accomplishments along the way. This little girl has been through alot in her short life and is happy, smart, and beautiful. She is very strong willed, and is going to achieve in life what ever she sets her mind to.
We love you, Jade Ariel Yu.

Visit to The Zoo

We had a fun day. I set a play date up for at the zoo. Jade made a new friend. It was a little ruff in the beginning. You can see her attitude when she discovered it wasn't going to be just her and I. LOL. But we managed to get through the day with only a half dozen or so of these pouts. LOL.

Splish Splash Summer 2009

Jade had fun learning to kick and paddle. She made her way around the pool in no time. But she wanted no part in learning how to hold her breath. She says, "next year mama".

Summer Flowers

Playing with the Macro setting on my new camera.

Jade Singing with Barney-June 2009

My best garage sale bargain this summer. Barney $1.00. Jade can now sing every song with ease. Here's Jade singing her ABC's 3 1/2 months after surgery. She's mixing up her next song (If your Happy and You Know It) with Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes. It's funny because she knows somethings off beat. This was taped approximately the middle of June.

Sailing the High Seas

Ok. Not quite the High Seas, but the Great Lakes. A great place to spend your summer days. Jeremy went out for a week long adventure as part of the crew on this 65 foot schooner. He also taught youth and adult sailing classes this summer. He's hoping to spend a few weeks next summer as a crew member on a tall ship out on the "high seas".
And yes, those are dreadlocks he came home with. He really puts his heart into it!
The middle photo is a distant shot of the "Big Mac".

All My Kids Together

Enjoying a warm evening together.
A favorite photo.

Veggies Yuck

Easter 2009

Jades first Easter. And no more No No's. Her palate healed up very nicely. Now we can work on her speech. The doctor said we should hear a completely different kid in about 6 months. And he was right!

Popcorn and No No's

OK. I know this wasn't nice. Me and Jade went to a craft show and she was still wearing her No No's, and I plopped a big bag of kettle corn on her lap. Needless to say she couldnt eat any and was still recovering from surgery and on a soft diet. But as you can see that wasn't all I loaded the stroller down with.

Post Op Check Up-March 12 2009

As you can see, Jade is being a real trooper through this. She loves wearing her "No No's". I thought it was going to be a battle keeping them on, but it turned out to be quite the opposite, she would cry when we had to take them off. They were some sort of a "mental" band aid for her.
